This weekend, two of my roommates were invited to fraternity formals in Las Vegas and the other one had to go home to take care of her pets while her parents are away. Where does that leave me? Alone. In our four bedroom, two bathroom, part living room/kitchen apartment. Which is fine, because I actually have a lot of work to do AND I work at 4:30am tomorrow and 6:45am Sunday... So no complaints! I'll get stuff done for once!
This whole "get a lot of work done" act ended, however, when I walked to my mailbox at around 2:30 this afternoon...
My order of the Twilight dvd was backordered and then cancelled a while back. Then they sent me an email last week saying that my order had been shipped. Which was good, because I was SO upset!!! I ordered the super special edition dvd from Borders about four days before it came out... April... 15th? 16th? and it came out the 20th. When I looked at the delivery date, it said May 2nd, so I was SOOO excited! Finally! The movie that I've been waiting for FOREVER (even though I've already seen it twice... and read the book a few times...).
So when I walked to the mailroom, I expected to put my Netflix movie in the outgoing mail box (note to others: do NOT rent My Best Friend's Girl; it is AWFUL. Sorry, Kate Hudson.), check my mail, be disappointed because it was empty, and walk back down the hall to my [almost] empty apartment (one roommate was finishing her packing). Instead, I opened my mailbox to find a delivery slip... A DELIVERY SLIP!!! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS???
[Internal Dialogue] YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! TWILIGHT HAS FINALLY COME!!! IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!
Okay, I realize that this is a really bad obsession, but I can't help it! I am a book worm and this story fits every book worm's needs!
So how have I spent the rest of my day? Watching every single special feature on Disk 2, watching the movie, then watching the movie with the commentary... That is when you know you have gone mental about something! But at least I realize that! If any of you haven't read the book yet (Emily, Mom), it is a must. I do have to warn you, though, if you haven't read it yet, do NOT watch the movie. It will not be the same and you will not appreciate it as much as you would if you read the book first.
Anyways, I am completely relishing in the story tonight. It may sound kind of stupid, but it just makes my desire to be a writer even stronger! I wish that I could have a really cool dream that would lead to a book!
Off to finish my movie (with commentary) and then maybe read a chapter or two... :-)
I miss you all and hope you have more time to update!
Bev
PS--Did I ever mention that the boy who "didn't want relationship" is dating someone? I need to meet boys who do not go to USD!
